HMM nice pics but why the switch? And the those camera's are useless with out a lens, sooo what glass did you get for your canon? and why did you pick canon?

hey tf, i grabbed an all around lens called the EF-S17-85mm, comes with image stablizer, and takes a decent photo> However the lens i orderd for macro is a much more unique lens. Its the MPE-65mm, only macro lens of its kind on the commercial market. A true five to one ratio. I am realy excited to get this lens. I also had to pick up a dual flash for the camera.ME 24EX flash
THe reason i picked canon was because of my camera guy who has been turning me onto camera 's for the past several years. He sold me on the canon for their pure professionalism. I told him i wanted to shoot macro and telephoto ( snowboard action shots) and from this he started telling me about the different lens' and makes of bodies. THe canon by the end of the conversation was our winner. THe lens for the canon macro can be viewed here http://www.vividlight.com/articles/2914.htm#macro
his site can be viewed here www.matography.com
I am happy with this little body, but still could use some tips on how to get the shots clearer without the tripod . I have a friend who is taking sick macro shots with this very same lens, and is not getting any blur
Keep in mind i am not using the macro lens at this point, i am using the ef-s17-85mm lens.
why did i pick canon, bottom line, the 40D is a brand new body that seems to be all the rage, and canon has a pretty strong history in the professional camera and lens area'.
I look foreward to getting a telephoto lens in the near future and getting some sick snowboard shots.

Yeah i have just noticed the nikon-canon choice is up there with the mac-pc, people are very much into the one they are in.
I think they both do a great job, i just in the end realy went with the canon due to the speciliazed macro lens, that isnt offered by nikon.

I like your use of lighting. Looks like you took them outside during a nice sunset.
