View Full Version : Made hash with a pickle bucket....

01-28-2009, 04:18 AM
So I made some hash with a old pickle bucket...i washed it and everything of course, not thinking that it would effect the product
After drying some out, i tasted it
it was HORRIBLE, at first, i thought it tasted like burnt rubber...and was trying to think of what could have made that taste...then i remembered i used a pickle bucket, and now all my stash tastes like PICKLE
So I ruined two good runs of hash
and I'm stuck with this horrible tasting pickle hash
not much i can do with it to make it taste better, huh? other than mixing it with blunts and what not as to not taste it...any suggestions?
(Yes, i will DEFINITELY get a new bucket)

Try making rosin. It might take way the briney flavor.

Please fill me in, much appreciated.

Haha that does sound tempting, but none of my friends seem to mind, so i just smoke it with them whenever...even though that shit tastes hella nasty haha.
(at one point i was really wondering if somehow dog shit got in my hash, LOL)

do a search for rosin

1.take a pyrex plate or stainless steel bowl
2. put ontop of pot of water
3. turn on heat until water boils
4. remove from heat
5. take hash patty and smear it on plate
6. keep smearing all over the plate in the same direction
7. once plate is covered with rosin scrape with razor
8. repeat process untill hash is dry and crumbly

^ sounds like an oil purge...
that'd totally change the smoke and flavor of the bubble into more of a traditional hash (addition of heat), no? Will it still bubble?

This method will yeild full melt everytime as long as your material is not (A green (B an oil.

Not much research has been done on rosin, but it is thought the rosin is THC-A, or THA (can't remember).

The flavor does change, but it is a positive change.

I have had left over material that had been rosinated and it still bubble.

The rosin may be flaky and dry or rock hard.

Oh yea, indica's yeild better rosin quanities.
