Well this is a creation that didn't last long at all. it truly was a hit ! It's potentcy is right up there putting me out after a few tokes. The taste was amazing and sweet but the high was remarkable. well enought blabber, here's the shots i was fortunate to grab

great shots homegrown, Love the domes mon. Always nice to catch some clear dome shots.YOu've inspired me im gonna go snap some.

are you using a tripod for your melt shots, or handholding? also what aperture and shutter speed are you shooting these with?

I have been experimenting mostly with a 100iso, and a 200 shutter speed. Aperture between 5.6 and 11.Am Using a gearhead 410 with manfrotto legs for tripod.

those shots were shot on a tripiod , because of such high shutter speed with flash its not necessary to be on a tripod. but because our the lens is manual focus and its DOF becomes alot more narrow usualy 1 step ahead and 2 steps behind focusing can become a pain in the ass when that close so tripods defenetly help. i used a manfrotto 3021bpro tripod witha action grip handle on ball head, it works like a joy stick and actions through you wrist.. as far as exposure goes i shot these f16 @ i unno 1/250s - 1/100s shutter speeds.. everytime i do a shoot i white balance and check it according to my histogram..

Yeah i find the tripod comes in pretty darn handy as well. I look foreward to seeing more shots. Perhaps and Monkey also have this same lens that we're shooting with. so should be some good shots to come.

you guys are all using digital cameras am I right?? It's a shame you couldn't get your hands on some old school medium format film cameras, like hasselblads or bronicas...I bet you could squeeze at least a 1 or 2 second time exposure out of them...some real ansel adams shit.
well digital is the wave of the future anyway...and medium format is a huge pain in the ass if you don't have the time for it. really good shots though...esp. the domes:)

hey benz the problem with a 1 to 2 second exposure on anythin moving will cause a blur or what our eyes fill in as movement an example is taking a shot of a waterfall at 1/1000s of will creat a stop action meaning it freezes it in time and u see all the individual water shoots. if u took tat same shot with 2 second exposure the waterfall will look like a sheet of silk all smooth. digital cameras now days can reproduce our files to be blown up pretty damn huge untill they start to fall apart. it comes down to your iso used for that situation in which it will limit you. so for this situation because the bubble is moving we need use a fast shutter speed in order to capture the dome before it pops. I thought about trying to capture a dome in black and white and see how it comes out. I do my own printing / developing.

Ansel Adams is a landscape photographer who's primary work was with landscapes and shooting at the smallest aperture availible on largeformat cam f/64. He's a great photographer but not quite the macrophotographer.

wow...haha, i didnt expect to be taken so seriously lol. ur soo right thought, i get the idea of it all. my mom is the photographer in the family, not me...the only reason i cited adams is cuz hes pimp and he is a master the depth of field stuff...yea...it'd be pretty hard to catch those domes with a long exposure...i jus like to idealize:)

Just wanted to add this , when your bubble is absolutely dry, your clear domes will not have a smokey white film on the inside of them> Absolutely dry bubble and especialy full melt dry sift. does not produce cloudy films on the inside. I am sure this is the moisture evaporating, but not being able to escape.

Just my two cents.

Dry your bubble people, its easy , but remember it takes a week at least, and can't be dried in a freezer.

this was a straight wet shoot forsure.... Ill get Hg to state that in his threads.... We just notice you can get alot of crazy artistic shots from wet to dry... In our other thread theres bone bone dry bubble in most of those shots and yes bman moisture is forsure the cloudyness.... This was just a run that only lasted a day thats the other problem when you make such good bubble IT NEVER LASTS LOL.... MUST MAKE MORE ! ;)

Yeah idealy when we make hash that nice, its best to dry it. I to think of how much time and energy went into growing and trimming and curing, as well as the running of the trim in to hash, its the last thing to to when you've done all else, DRY IT.

And i think once we teach everyone that a cloudy dome is a wet dome, people won't have to state wether its dry or wet, we will just know.

guess ur missing the fact that we produce so little of this goodness and sometimes waiting a week to smoke .5-1 gram of bubble just cant be done...

well you havent posted that information. If you want to share info, give the content of that information> Ie yeah our hash sits in a freezer on cardboard in piles and doesnt get dried, BECAUSE" WE ONLY GET . 5 TO A 1GRAM return. People assume sooo much on these boards, and bottom line the people who put up the nicest photos get listened to the most. So im just saying give all that information up as to why your not drying it.
Rather than you and homegrown have done in the past, which is come online and say its dry, when its clearly wet.
Thats all im tripping about.
ITS STILL some of the nicest hash in the world, to me thats what hurts the most, to wait that long, and then to never let it really dry properly> just seems like a crime.

still would assume it all comes down to what the consumer/smoker perfers and enjoys thats all im saying and everyone doesnt dry there hash bone... Funny all my hash has sat on my smoking table for a couple weeks now ...

Sure when i whip up a fresh batch for buddies ill freeze it so we can smoke dat shiznit instantly but dunno why u would assume i keep my hash in the freezer ?
