Sorry man, just kidding. This just came out of the kiln, the big trees are anchored in 2 spots to provide support and make it more stable. Bottom is 75mm x 5mm, the top is 50mm x 5mm. 2 12 arm trees in the piece and a 10 arm ashcatcher........that a total of 34.....

They are eebrew, the up arms on the trees are about the same diameter so a larger fitting shouldn't allow any more flow than it has with the 14mm, and it's easier to find accessories for a 14mm since the advent of the bushing diffy.

Why, do you think it should be 18mm?

EEbrew

I think 18mm might work better. You can always rock a bushing adaptor. I think sizing down from 18 to 14 doesn't look bad, but for some reason in my eyes I hate the sized up look.

Mike could you make a narrow bore fixed stem? like a 5 on 5 in 44mm tubing? ( or maybe some super small trees? wicked sands rocks 10 arm trees in 38mm OD tubing, I think)

I'll try tonight.

do they have a splash guard? I can't find a good pic.

EEbrew

the ten arm mini's don't have a splash guard. I know the trees are made by Luke Wilson though.

Syn
04-27-2009, 07:28 AM
cool, it looks like they swell a bit in the tree area but let me see what we can do......single or double?

EEbrew
04-27-2009, 07:30 AM
double chamber fo sho.

yeah I hate how certain companies don't use a splash guard, I'd think by now that's be an industry standard thing..

Syn
04-27-2009, 07:34 AM
Lol, we used to be one of those companies but EVERYONE wanted them, soooooooooo.......

EEbrew

Yeah I had a 4 arm 18" 5mm perc tube you made me awhile back before you used splash guards. It was fine 98% of the time but on occasion I'd get water in my mouth...

in my eyes if water gets in your mouth your using too much water in the first place.

no, splash guards real reason is for ice. making sure water doesn't touch the ice is crucial in keeping your hit drag free thru-out the session

Splash guards are crucial. but the new hottness is of course SG's inverted splash guard. that thing flows like there isnt even anything there. Its like the ice pinch bowl of splash guards.

Yo fat mike I am lovin your fixed stems. especially that worked section one with the AC permattached to it. for anyone who hasnt seen it you should drop a link!

See I think your wrong. Water level is an adjustment made by the user. some like more some like less. Not having a splash guard Severely limits the way the smoker enjoys his tube. I also don't use ice either.....
