Stupid question..How do you get water in the lower perc?

fill through the top and blow?

yeah i usually pour water into a bottle and then carefully pour from the top and lightly blow in. i'm pretty particular with how much water to put in each perc. it takes a little practice to get the water levels just right. usually if i try to push all the water out and then quickly begin to inhale the water levels usually turn out good. i think it's because the upstem of the perc is so long that the water that gets trapped in there when i blow the water out is enough in volume to fill the perc nicely

kind of hard to explain but maybe you'll understand what im saying
