Might be just me, but it doesn't seem like the couple milimeters of water over top of the waffle grid would offer much filtration, and the water volume underneath seems largley unused. Myself, I'd throw another inch or so of water in there at least. Again, it might just be me......
Sure looks neat tho :)

yes, i do need to play with the water levels more. this was just what i did quick as soon as i got it, but im way too medicated still to try any more testing! hahaha :D

Sick piece, I have a SGW inline ashcatcher that I love. May I ask how much you paid for it as I want that same setup. :)

how come? theyre still prototype phase sort of. preston is doing these all without a lathe, too. i dont ever use ice anyway, and i think the couple other people with them dont either.
if anything needs to be added, it would be a splash guard, for people that like to really rip their tubes for all the diffusion they can get. i think it diffuses pretty damn well without me needing to pull very hard at all, but some people like to do that, and there would be an amount of splash back that they probably wouldn't like.
that being said though, this works the best with oil imo. and with a dome on, the airflow is cut down just enough to still stack the bubbles but not get any splash back at all. :D
Kudos

This is definitely beautiful, OnSilverWings. I love seeing new types of diffusion put to work.
I definitely think the later videos where you added a little bit more water look like it was much smoother of a rip too!

yes, works very well with the extra water. very smooth rip indeed! :)
thanks for the kind words everyone!

I'm not trying to start anything here... but is this just a different interpretation of a gridline perc?
Definitely pretty cool tho for a production piece, can't wait to see how it'll shape out in the near future.

i kinda thought the same thing but imo this is more of like a waffle disc vs. the gridline really being more of a fixed stem.

preston has said it was influenced by the grid technique that SG came up with. it is similar, but a different application as a whole. hope that clears a little up..

How much do one of these waffle percs cost? I see them all over the place now and that diffusion looks too damn good to pass up. Preston KILLS IT.

About 3 and then up from there. I hear he's getting a lathe set up though, I know for a fact he's reconfiguring his shop at the moment. So production may be going up in the future here.

That's an oil curve... Basically you heat the metal plate (grade 2 titanium) and dab the oil on the hot ti and inhale some taste vapors. But enough talk about oil, let's respect bman's wishes... Smoke your bubble on a Ti screen for sure!

Lol yeah, no question it's still a sick tube, but that logo is fucking clutch, IMO one of the best out there, prob 2nd only to Toro's. Too bad it didn't stick quite right. Hope mine comes out strong.

I jumped on the waffle band wagon but got a bubbler made instead of a tube
enjoy the following video, it was a blast making it and using my vriptech heat wand to get thick, milky vapor while keeping the bubbler looking fresh and clean

that thing looks pretty cool, but no offense it looks like a little too much work to lite a bowl :P. I feel if i had that thing i would accidently tip over my bong or something. Beeline works just fine for me haha. But the hits are probably super smooth and tasty

The bub is looking great, and you definitely got some nice rips out of it. Don't be afraid to share more of your glass collection if it's larger ;)

the old stone graffiti logo i liked more, and I have it sandblasted on my monstrous SGW set. My new dome though has the new logo, clean and easy to read, just like the clarity of preston's work
