Hey guys ,, i wanted to show off some great mushrooms we and friend found,,
this state is great for all mushrooms,, but we found some nice Morels, the season is on for these great tasting mushrooms,, and they cost the shit outa to buy them ,, if u can find them to buy> anyway just want to show them off.

well ya see i like to cook ,and i like to eat fine foods, and the Morel mushroom is a very fine food indeed , their great in flavor ,, and they are very costly.
they can go from 60 bux a pound to 150 bux a pound .. MY state is ONE of the best states for mushrooms, we have all kinds , :)

I believe oregons state mushroom is the chanterelle,however the morel last i checked was the state mushroom of Minnesota

great find! I hate mushrooms, but I'm allergic to some molds (i'm sure otehrs are as well) but anything with the taste of fungus turns me off, yet if cooked in a stew or on pizza they don't seem to be such a problem, any good recipes you can offer than don't have such a bad fungus taste?

That's absolutely awesome, SUNSIMULATOR. Those are some tasty mushrooms, indeed, we used to collect them in NE Missouri when I lived up there [thanks for sharing those great pics, they really bring back good memories].

I found 3 huge piles of morels growing at i friends but i couldnt harvest them in time, they had already sat too long. oregon is awesome fro mushroom hunting. mmmmm

Your right Bubbleman, 1984 we made the Morel the State mushroom.
I've lived in Washington and Oregon and they do have a lot of Mushrooms and Toadstools too. I don't know much about Wild Mushrooms and won't pick them out of Ignorance, except for the Amanita muscaria, I can spot those a long way off.
