In this thread Ill share the adventures of the great outdoors.
Next week we will be doing a snow hash making session.
This years outdoor crop included many different varieties, including Rene, SweetPinkGrapefruit, Sweetskunk, a rare Flo selection, BlueMoonshine F2s, Highend F1s, and two F2s, over 22 Blockhead phenos, Timebomb F1s and two F2s, Wattykush, King, PurpleKush, and many other sticky varieties.
This years hash should be great!
See you all soon.
Ps. I love the new site!

thanks for posting can't wait to see the end result...it would be ultra cool if you could take some live plant shots and some melty shots, so we can add the strains to the full melt strain base...keep on posting!!!

I finally made the first batch this winter. But the picture cant be uploaded until this stoner finds the Cable for the camera. LOL
TrichomeFarmer, why would you freeze the snowchuncks?
Im finding the amount of snow used is important, too much and it doesnt mix the same. Too little isnt good either.
This run I did a few small batches in the 5gallon 220bags, of lightly mixed trim (5minutes). Then ran all the trim a second time through the largest 40gallon??? 220 bubblebags. Mixing it on and off for an hour.
The first batch is looking great, the 2nd run is still excellent, a joint with 50%hash tasted like honeyoil!!!
Ill detail more later when the samples cure more.
Ill be running more batches this winter and try some different techniques.
Im thinking the snow chunk idea would work well in the 2nd run.
But I think the small size of the snow flakes helps break off the trichomes much better.
Samples will be in Vancouver very soon.
Picutures may be a week or two. Im a snowboarding full time, so Im busy! LOL
Peace ODD

Here go some pictures.
1. All the tools
2. 5gallon 220 with snow and paintmixer.
3. The mix.
4. Strain the first bag. Now all the hash is sunk to the bottom of the 5gallon bucket.

1. Here we add the quickly run mix into the 45gallon container for a longer mix.
2. Now we add all the quick mixes together, and add more water and maybe a little more ice. Mix for 10minutes, let it sit for 10, mix 10, let sit 10, mix 10 and again let sit 10 minutes, and you should be done. It can be done longer, but you will end up with lower quality hash.
3. Straining water through the 1gallon 160 and 120 works fine because they filter quite quickly. 5gallon 75 and 45 and 25 bags work well for this size job. But if you were to do it more often you would probably want the 45gallon 75, 45, and 25 bags.
4. a plate with 4 piles. 75 first run, 75 second run, 25 first run, and 25 second run.
Note: 2 people working 8hours a day can process an average of about 115grams of fullmelt bubble per day.
Based on Swiss "Experiments"!

NIce shots outdoordreams, always love seeing the bubblebags in action. Nice little pile in the last photo as well.
I use to get around 200grams a day with my one other buddy when we did a 8 to 10 hour shift. But recently with the bubblenow im happy to say that two people can pull off 450grams easy in one 8 to 10 hour day> Just make sure you have a LOT Of ice.
Peace

LOL. I cant wait to do a week long run with the bubblenow! Time for another "Swiss style experiment"
Ice is expensive. Theres always lots of snow! Free and abundant. Well 4months a year anyway.
Its also nice to make ice hash in the winter. Its easy to freeze very large amounts of trim without cleaning out the deep freeze.

Yeah ice can get expensive, but i gotta admit, when you are making pounds of bubble, its a very minimal cost. last time i bought a pallet of ice, it cost me just under 300bucks. That was a full pick up truck of ice though, and made two lbs of melty bubble.
well worth every penny spent thats for sure.
maybe next time i will get to smoke a little of your snowhash !!!

Nice thread bro. But its hard for me to beleave that 2 guys made 115 grams of fullmelt in 24 hours by hand. Last year I was making bubble with a friend and I buyed the bubblenow just a short time before. We were working from the morning like 9 a.m. had a lot of ice (really a lot) we processed 2,4 Kilo of high quality trim and got caa. 160 gram of bubble, and only the 90 and the 73 were fullmelt, the other ones were good hash, but not fullmelt.
bubble on,

Hahahah A pick up full of Ice. Nice bubble. I also like the idea of using snow. Just seems more natural. And yeah, making bubblehash can be a lot of work sometimes.
