I would rather the pics do the talking , on this thread. I have been a "fan"addict of Hedman's for years. I love his work, and innovation (i.e.showerhead). Showerhead in the tube and A/C. Amazing work, here;s my DD: showerhead into 2 =*5*arm tree percs ...Enuff said:

Absolutely incredible glass blower. Do yourselves a favor and check out this man's gallery on glasspipes.org to see more sickness. And as for your comment OnlyHighGrade, I totally agree. There is a distinctly wholesome look to a handmade piece of glass that won't have anything else that looks just like it, I love it. Elevate makes some beautiful handmade pipes as well, gotta support the guys doin it the right way.

I know what you guys mean on the style , but one thing that can be said of it...I know he's fusing his glass well...you can see the seamlessness of the fusions b/w 2 layers. The inner and outer wall. While watching over his shoulder last time I was there I kept thinking that looks good, he's done...5 mins. later how many times are going to do that?...Times he laughs...you do it until it's done fusing.
While the trees look organic they are tough as nails, since he makes them in shop. I have yet to see his trees break. I have dropped a 2 stage of his on the floor , repeatedly in front of people to show them they are not going to break, this thing is SOLID. I am talking dropping it on a carpet floor, from say:pipe: a foot and a half off the ground...:cool1: Pretty cool to me, the only thing I have broken is the female joint, since the Keck was attached with the A/C " on ". I thought more would have come off...but no !
just the joint where the frosted meets the clear..amazing WORK

That purple color scheme on the first piece is absolutely breathetaking. Awesome choice if you chose it yourself, colitas. And if you don't mind me asking what is that shade of purple called if I per say ever wanted to have someone make me something that color what would I call it.

Damn. That tube is very nice. Probably cost an arm and a leg, but totally worth it. If I had 12Gs to drop on a glass lathe like his then I would be turning out tubes like this, they just would not be as nice. Its a never ending game save, practice, save, practice. Save the money to start, get good at something, then save so you can buy the equipment to make the next hot thing. It never ends, unless you are rich.

What state is Headman located?

colitas i think your the owner. question about the one nasty headmen toob thats the first toob posted and milk on the 2nd. why is the joint on a angle like that cause the ac circ doesnt sit flat so its not diffused 100%. just wondering if he did that for a reason or just how the toob came??

hey Toro sorry for the slow get back , yes Hedman is 100% handmade
that tube was my first with Hedman , he turned me on to the showerhead.
He told me how him and Zach had made one a year ago but let it go for awhile....look up piggyback s on his gp.page for the org. showerhead A/C
Anyway those first tube were with obtuse angles, instead of 90- degrees like now..it does sit better when flat on the ground...but all in all that tube was the second one hince the name Phoenix...there was another A./C. that mathced another tube with a full sleeve so considering that he made it over AGAIN with in time...before I got out there to pick it up and only charged me for one was great I am still happy with it...as are my friends...gotta go
