Sg makes inverted 4's too and yes they do use them as splash guards to.. I have personally never hit a Sgw inverted.. but i have hit a Sg inverted 4 and love it.. was definitely surprised...

I'd like to know the answer to this question as well. I am planning on purchasing a SGW waffle in early January but these invert mini's look amazing. Can anyone compare and contrast the two?

Will a XL Headman Headies A/C fit on these? I have my eyes on those as well. A large A/C with a single chamber tube sounds nice. :)

i have heard nothing but good things about both designs but preston said that he would not be making the inv. 4 design anymore because steve was still doing it.

From what I understand, Preston at SGW is the one who actually designed the inverted 4-arm, and Steve from SG uses it as his splashguard/puts it in tubes.

Glassaholic on here has an inverted-4 that he might be able to give you a review on :) It's made by SGW like the one above....

A few others have the SG version of the inverted 4
must not been around the glass scene long...
the 4 arm splashguard/inverted4 is a signature design by SG

sorry just can't stand misinformation

Yeah, I had actually been informed that I was misinformed a day or two after making this post...... just forgot I had even made it, I'll edit it! :p

I have an sgw inverted 4 gridded

Its taller than sg's design, and requires more water, but its diffusion is incredible

Yeah, I've got an SG i4, hits pretty fucking sweet. But I'd like to see how the SGW version rips.

sgw stoped production of these because he didnt want to steal sgs design while its in production
he said the only reason he did a few of them is because sg stopped production for a long while

After just returning from visiting with Preston, I can tell you he still makes these most definitely, I just don't think the stemless are the most sought after design. (The rip is really killer on these though)

GL getting one though.... had to practically beg the man for mine ;)

Mine was also the first he technically sold...

big tom is right, Preston really doesnt want to infringe on any of SG's designs, even though SG and SGW's inverted 4 are very different. Their construction is even very different. SGW's is not tagged like SG does his grids, rather theyre cut. Also the bottoms are anchored adding even more diffusion

--Edit
Just noticed you were trying to decide between the invert 4 and the waffle. The waffle is more versatile, good for premium bubble stacking with adequate water, or thin diffusion with low water for oil. Amazing design as well fyi ;)

Hey guys, I also like the style of the waffle tube, the diffusion looks pretty nuts. How much are those running for? I'd like too snag one

Can anyone throw in a comparison of the inverted circ against these other two tubes?
the waffle
the inverted 4
and the inverted circ?
