I got the 4 bag kit by payload bags, 220, 90, 73, 25, doesnt make fullmelt but still sum kick ass hash. I think i dont get fullmelt because i need the 190 and 160 bags to block out shit getting into my fullmelt bags, 90 and 73. But still could jus be my technique. PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! GIVE ME A ANSWER.

its all about how long your mixing for and letting the bag sit, the less time in the water/ice.... the higher the quality.

Is it best to use a drill with a paint mixing attachment, a wooden spoon, a strong plastic spoon, or a hand mixer?

Mixing techniques from worst to first:
Paint mixer on a drill - lotta particulate
Cake mixer -not as vilolent, but still lotta particulate
Bubblenow machine - the best choice imo
Hand stirred with wooden spoon - best hash / most work

Thanks man!

How important is it that the spoon be wood?
I have a very good plastic spoon I've been using because its pretty strong.

The wood thing i reeallly am not sure of, my guess, is that Metal sticks to resin heads, so thats why wood is suggested? iv always used wood, but really this is just my guess.

True, I wouldn't think they would stick to plastic though. These spoons were just way cheaper and felt stronger than the wooden ones so I got em :p

Next thing I gotta get are some ice trays! Guess I'm gonna have to toss out that pizza i've been "saving" in there

I've never used Payload bags (who know's, maybe the factory mixed up the meshes? it's been known to happen!)..but here's my advice

buy an additional 125 or 140 micron mesh bag, this in itself will make a noticeable difference in the end result
quality starting material = a quality end result, it's not easy to get full melting domes from poorly grown or poorly handled starting material
when in doubt, use more ice! it's all about cold temps
definitely hand stir with a stick for about 5 minutes for the first run, paint drills are ok, if the speed is slow and gentle, the idea is to knock off the frozen trichomes, not beat the shit outta the plant material turning it into mush
and check out Bubbleman's step by step instructions.

Does the division in the mesh of the payload bags seem to help? It looks like trichomes may get stuck in the extra stitch there, you get that any?
