Yea they are getting bigger.... Looks like your gonna have one hell of a GRASS issue with the way your pots are full of grass and its not even July yet...Is the grass from the straw? Are the girls about 3 and 1/2 feet tall now? What do you feed and what kind of fertalizer injection system do you use? They look great!!! Are you on a well? I have been using 3300 gallons a week on mine...Hope it slows down as they get more established...

Can we see your light dep set up?? Wondering if it is like mine....

Have you used the same "pot's" before? How did you yield per unit?

Sorry for all the questions but you did post on a forum! Peace , Oldschool

My light dep is in a 12 x 50 hoop house, Ill get some pics up of it eventually. This is my first year in these beds. i use fish hydrolysate , cold pressed kelp , molasses .. i have a 2500 gal tank that i mix things in to and a 6 way manifold with 1" hose everywhere doing my irrigation system. i have a well and year round creek..As they get more established they will use more water

Thats an awful big space to cover.... Can you cover it alone.... Is the cover custom made? Black plastic? How do you deal with the humidity after the cover is on? Any bud mold issues??

They way we do light dep out here is take an hour off the sunrise and cover at that time then once its fully dark we pull the tarp off and let them wake up with the sunrise so we only have to take the tarp on / off at once..yes I can do it by myself. The cover is a 30 x 60 from Creative Shelters. At the end of July I stop pulling tarp and let them go since everything will be in flower at that time any way.

Gonna have some monsters there, I wish we were getting more sun here. Too many cloudy days & the temps haven't really warmed up that much yet, still getting down around 10c overnight. How big you plan on vegging them?

Ummmm....Thats 360 bales??? Wow!!! Any other additions to the soil???? Why the pro mix? Have you had good luck w/it? Been cool up there lately huh? Are you on the coast or inland a bit? Very inspiring grow!!!!

Do you always do clones..???.. I assume they are because of the "look" they have.... Does your emmiters cover the whole 72 inches??

kiefcake
07-01-2010, 01:31 PM
Yes. Each emitter covers 3' and I have 4 of them.

This is my 2nd year out door by myself at my own property :) When I helped out, we did clones and seeds. This year I did all clones, gave all my seed starts away to the neighborhood...next year I'll probably have a good mix of seeds and clones. Hopefully some of next years clones will be from this years seed starts.

I went with pro mix because I have a lot of experience using it. I used over 360 bales, that's just what it took to fill the big pots. I had to plant them in to 1 gals, 5 gals, and put the light dep in to 25 gals..so all in all I used around 400 bales this summer.

I put in a lot of amendments of all different types of things. EWC, composted chicken manure, fish bone, fish meal crab shell meal shrimp meal oyster shell flour gypsum alfalfa meal etc., all kinds of stuff..

I'm inland...I'd say 80 miles from the coast as the crow flies...Maybe 90ish miles?

It has been relatively cool. It has to do with that volcano in Iceland methinks..Things are starting to balance out and we're supposed to have an extra long grow season. I'm not complaining about starting July with 4 fters....I'm hoping my ladies put on about an inch a day.

Epic grow!!!!!Look forward to seeing the turnout.... Cool we are doing simular things in different climates and locations... 4000 feet closer to sun....like that makes a difference! Ha Ha I tell ya my plants in the ground are really taking off...not as big as the "potted" ones as far as overall size but growing great for small holes and only 2 bags soil...."cheapskate" metod... Working good so far!Kief, If ya dont mind I would love to share thoughts and ideas w/you...... We can PM and stay off the boards...??? Peace..............OLDSCHOOL

I'm sure your buds will be tighter and frostier than mine if you're growing at 6500ft..I've seen bud grown at that elevation from here in Cali and honestly it was epic...

My stuff from 3000 ft has a good mix of high elevation dankness and is low enough that the yield will be high.

Thanks for the compliments, they really pick up my spirits. I hope I make it successfully to the fall.

Good to see ya back! Looking like giant "bushes"......Are you getting the growth you hoped for out of the 300's?I tell ya I have some LARGE plants in 200's... but,I feel I am getting close to the same results with ground plants....They only have a bag and a half of soil and have grown to 10 footers. They were done very "economicaly" compared to the smart pot money pits I have going....I harvested the first plant yesterday... A record Aug.5 and pickin outdoor bud that was NOT light depoed!!!Quality and taste over the top....Where do ya get your ideas for you nute schedule? Heck even with 30+ years of exp. ,I wish i knew more....Keep it up dude!!! Lets see the Depo project..... Please???? Peace....... OLDSCHOOL

I'm very happy with the 300s. I know if I didn't fumble my strains (all bubba basically) i'd have plants twice as big. What I should have done was do 20 pots with Bubba K with 4 plants per pot , then done 7 pots with 4 per D.O.G and done the remaning 33 with Green Crack and Cheese...live and learn.

Applied 100 lbs of seabird to get me thru the stretch and i'm harvesting the dep soon

What do you mean "fumble my strains"???It's interesting to me ...all the photo's from the north coastal area with smart pots the plants are round looking.... I have allot of tall plants...They are wide too...They just "look" different to me the way they grow....

Awesome looking flower!!! She look's close for sure .... I bet she smell"s wonderful! Peace...... OLDSCHOOL:smoke1:

they are all 5' tall at least and all at least 6' in diameter. Last year I grew plants 1/4 this size and got an average of 1.25 lbs. I'm thinking maybe 5 # per average this year.
