You need to freeze the plant material so the heads of the trichomes break off. You'd probably get something using unfrozen material, but how much and what quality would be questionable.

Yes hash can be made in the manor you mention. It would be better if you could do it the right way, but will still work. Kinda make it sound like you're rippin a field, little creepy. Peace GS
