Greetings fullmelters,
anyone have any good experiences with infusing extra food grade trichomes into medicinal creations? It's really easy to put in to a nice oil like coconut and mix it into macaroons. It's a little different experience from bubbling, though can be very efficient only takes 1/8 gram of extract for one dose. Much more subtle, though longer lasting. A simple recipe would be:
1 gram of extract
4 tablespoons of coconut oil
coconut shreads
a pinch of vanilla bean powder
honey or similar sweetener to taste
liquify the coconut oil with minimal heat (anything above about 79 degrees F) put in the extract. If contaminated with plant matter you can strain oil through a cheesecloth or sieve. Mix together and for into shape and your good to go..Start small and work up with dosage. Some people are sensitive to lower doses whereas others require high amounts to feel anything.
Cheers,

This is a great way to waste a gram of kief.
What about decarboxylation (activation of the THC)? What about bio-availability (getting it to your liver)?
About the only thing worth taking out of the post is the fact that as little as 1/8th of a gram would be a dose for many people.

The decarboxylation issue seems to be a myth in my experience. One could couple the infusion with black pepper or extract to increase bioavailability. By absorbing the matter sublingually you bypass the stomach acid transmutation and the adminstration is more like vaporization. Granted if your system is gummed up then it would probably be a waste. In this form the THC is of the highest quality and not degraded into weaker forms. It seems to be the most efficient and economical way to provide one with radiation protection by fortifying the endogenous antioxidant system. Cannabis can protect against radioactive isotopes, in Japan they were suggesting hash smoothies. The plant can also thrive in radioactive environments and uptake isotopes. So making the isotopes volatile through vapors can get them into your body in high concentrations, whereas the digestive tract can more efficiently eliminate them. This is usually done with the food grade extract, because it doesn't bubble. The "medical" community was selling alcohol based tinctures(probably not decarboxylated) OTC long before it was inhaled.
