yeah i gotta admit, most of the times i grew back in the day was always from seed.
I particularly loved traveling around the world to collect my seed.

still have some jamaican seed from 95, some thai seeds from 98 ( possibily cambodian)

and of course all my dutch genetics from amsterdam... and the internet

Thanks guys!

Ive seen some info on "Haze" type hybrids with a F1 rating? Im asuming F1 is better than F2?

Is there a general guideline thread here somewhere for newbies? Information thats very basic like what type plants produce better bud. How to clone and how to care for a male vs a female and the differences between the 2 genders as it pertains to growing indoors.

Im not very picky as most anything you guys recomend will be way better.

Thanks in advance!

There are many seed companies selling seeds on the internet, dont have them sent to your grow. If you can get to Vancouver, or Amsterdam, there are several seed sellers there. Or you can save seeds from good weed that you buy and hope for the best. If you know any other trusted growers, you may be able to get a clone of a known sexed female line.

Unless you are planning on making seeds, or starting a breeding program, I would not bother to waste the time and effort growing a male plant. In fact, I consider a male in my room a disaster. A worse disaster is a hermaphrodite, cuz the lil male flowers hide somewhat. The best bud is always from unpollinated females.

As far as what strain produces better bud, its really a personal choice. Are you looking for ultra potent medicine? Try Pure and mostly Indicas. A smooth uplifting mind high? Try pure and mostly Sativas. Hybrids can be nice as well. Several factors I consider when deciding to keep a strain are: potency, flowering time, overall plant size, resistance to pests drought and disease, ease of cloning, overall yield, taste, ability to uptake nutes, and flush nutes at the end. Several of those factors are personal choice and opinion, and you really need to decide for yourself.

Get books on cannabis cultivation, Jorge Cervantes and Ed Rosenthal both have a few books out, and there are many others. Read read read, the more you know, the better off you will be.

Good luck and happy cultivating. :)
