I use a 1/2 lb. ziplock full per run. Would fill bucket 1/2 way with water add a bag of ice , then the material, then another bag of ice and top up if necessary. Good luck man. Peace GS

YOu dont want to use more than 200 grams of dry material in the five gallon bucket.
That is the limit, as for fresh, well you would want to come up with your own ratio's cause different herb dries differently, but fresh would be probably around 800grams.
I would use TONS OF ICE. i often use multiple bags of ice even in a small five gallon kit.
The more the merrier.

I have a video on www.pot-tv.net if you search bubbleman its the first one that comes up called
TOKERS BOWL

i make a batch on video and give lots of good tips, check it out.

Sorry never saw pics or numbers. Perhaps the Trainwreck had more hairs and nonglandular trichs. Did you magnify the hash and see if both hashes were mostly heads? Did you use the same method and mixing time for both? Did you start with fresh water and ice both times and did you freeze both materials equal amount of time before working? Peace GS

Nice pics man, hash looks good. My bag set didn't come with that stirrer either, or I may have waited a year for my Bubblenow, lol.
