So it seems our forum has been targeted by Chinese scammers who are trying to get their websites some rank on Google. (The more often their sites are linked on other sites, the higher they show up in search results.)
It's an interesting world we live in...

The reason I posted those videos is to show people that we literally have armies of obsessed Chinese gamers going against two administrators.
well you are only one man, but i am also one man and that makes two right there.
I have deleted dozens of these goldbot threads.
recently it was baadman28 who had a dozen or so gold threads up.
One by one, we will rid ourselves of these bots.

I reported that last guy within 10 min of him posting his crap, and Bubbleman had him found and nuked about 2 minutes after I mentioned it in chat. I think this whole thread is devoted to the damn WoW gold spammers, reasoning for nuking them should be self evident I believe. Will try to remember adding a link in the future.....

What version of VB is this forum running on? There are ways to put an end to these bots......
That is not exactly the case bullethead, this boards vb is kept up to date. Yes there are ways to defeat these spammers, but it requires the use of extensive ban lists including subnets of entire countries, some of which contain members who like to create and partake in the FMB :(

Thats more of what I was refering to. The mods that are available to stop this from happening. I just needed to know the version of VB so I could let you know what is available. I have some friends that are coders for VB, and I write a few myself. Looks like you got it under control though.......
Also, I consult for network security. There are many different ways to combat spammers...the over seas script kiddies as we call them are pretty easy to stop when your server is armed with the correct tools.

I just saw a show on tv describing this full fledge business of a room full of kids playing WOW.....and getting PAID to do it......
Appparently there are people who have jobs and dont have the hours it takes to build up a strong player for the game. So instead, they turn to a business that will SELL you a strong player already built up by one of these kids that sits around all day playing WOW....amazing.....
This is also a very growing epedemic amoung our youths and young adults alike.....
