Well My opinion if that the volatile oils are boiling out of the hash, and therefore creating the bubbling affect. THc is known to be colourless and odorless, so when we see all those wonderful colours boiling and bubbling out of the hash, we can be assured that they are the terpenes and terpenoids , which have a lower boiling temp than the rest of the profile).
It would be good to get a response from skunkman sam on this issue.
