Although I admire your makeshift ingenuity...this seems hazardous....If it were heated enough would it not run the risk of melting the one of the plastic parts you included? If so, then your introducing purely toxic chemicals into what your inhaling...maybe try finding glass parts, or metal equivelents?

porcupinehead. the glass only gets hot where the flame touches. bulb never gets hot to the touch half inch away. also sub bamboo or pipestem if it bugs you
