MsJones's First Bubble Hash

It had to happen eventually.... and yesterday was the day. I finally made my first batch of bubble hash. Brand new bags and a freezer full of trim....well, who could ask for more?

I followed FMB's and Bubbleman's instructions. First I started out using seperate buckets for each bag but after talking to Bubbleman some I ditched that plan and went all-in-one. Jeezus..it would have taken forever the other way so *whew* yay...for faster results that are just as good.

I used the small bowl under the green bowl in the first run. It was frozen trim from this summers outdoor Winkin Blinkin N Noddin Out, that had purple trichs and the bit of other outdoor bud...White Rhino.

Lots of ice...lots of stirring...lots of love.

Dry trim bubble




220 grams of trim is the max for the 5 gallon bag set.... I think I used more than that on both runs. I also agitated things longer than I should have ..probably. You can see green bits in my fresh bubble and I had all sorts of stuff in the dry..cat hair, lint, my hair..it was insane. Naturally I cleaned things up.

You can see how there are spots where trichs used to be and also how there are stalks with no heads in the pics below.







My First Gold









I ended up with quite a bit to put out on cardboard...not all of it will end up in my pipe though. Somehow I ended up with a lot of green matter in my 160 bag. I will have to check my 220 bag for holes in the seam. the gold and purple bags are all that I will be counting in this run. Some of it was so sticky I just couldn't chop it up. the best I can do with it is to move it around ..I keep pulling it out like taffy to let parts dry..then fold them back in and pull more out....it's so gooey.

I have yet to roll up four of the piles...they will probably give me 5 more grams to add to the 8.5 here. Not bad..I hope. ... for a first run : )

Hooray, good for you MsJ. Don't worry too much about the 160 being green for the most part its a cleaning bag. I have rarely seen nice 160 hash. Overloading the bags is a nono though. LOL. Bubble on. Peace GS

Hey msjones, Great job, Nice to see you got a nice little pile of bubble there. And the close up shots really show you got a decent quality there to.
Let us know if those balls crumble in the upcoming week, that will be a sure fire way to tell if they were completely dried or not, before you rolled them up.

Congrats on the first batch of bubble MsJones! I wouldnt worry about the 160 grade that much, you can use it to bake or if it is really good trim the 160 can yield some decent stuff. I usually give it to my pops or someone who is not the as much connoisseur of cold water extraction. That is very odd if there is a hole in your work bag, that is hard to do. as far as overloading the bag I'd agree with GreenSupreme "its a nono". when I began making bubble I used to overload the bag thinking "more trim = more trichomes" but one day I took all of the trim after the first run seperated it into two piles and ran those two batches again, in the end i had 8.0g of 73 grade 3.0g of the 120 grade and 1g of the 45 and the 25. So that was about 13 grams of bubble i would have missed out on if I had not done that. luckily that happened at the beginning of my bubble studies and have learned from that.
