So what's the point then of smoking it?

I know with shisha they add flavor and stuff but is that more or less the same deal here?

Mint for instance makes harsh herbs less harsh and easier on the throat and lungs. Lavendar clears the lungs. Each has its own purpose. If you only wish to get high, then maybe you will find the non cannabis ones less useful. Peace GS

Definitely will try making some combinations in the near future then. I'll have to report on what I think afterwards.

is there a specific process to smoke lavender in order to clean your lungs out or can I just dry the plant and try loading into my own glass?

Sorry if I mislead you ,but this thread is about non cannabis trichomes. I would suggest extracting the lavender with Bubblebags to make lavender hash and drying it well before puffing. Once to that stage just treat it like hash, a little in a bong is supposed to do wonders. Good luck. Peace GS

ALWAYS start at the lower end of the temperature range and move up from there IF necessary. Most of the time, you can successfully vaporize at the lowest temp in the range.

ULTRA HIGH TEMPERATURE: up to 200C (392F)
Temps over 200C are not recommended

    Salvia Divinorum: 200C (392F)

Toxic byproducts do get emitted at temperatures over 200C as you get closer to combustion. Due to that, we do not recommend anyone use continuous temps over 200C.

Herbs and Essential Oils are the easiest to vaporize.
Barks and Roots are harder to vaporize, make sure they are finely ground.

Might wanna pm Bubbleman and find out if making lavender with buddies bags will affect the smell/taste of his hash in the future first. If I am not mistaken I think he suggests seperate bags. Would hate to wreck future hash just in case. Good luck and please do let us know how this goes. Peace GS
