    Do not press or ball wet hash. Trapping water on the inside will spoil the hash at worst, and sizzle and pop when smoked at best. Many here do not even press the dry hash at all , but smoke the powder / lil dry nuggets of hash. But fully dry. If you want to press it after that, it will be fine.

    I found that 190 and 160 and a 45 bag system work best for collecting all the goo. Any other bags in the middle tend to get way too gummed up so I found that collecting all the mass in the 45 bag is the best for yield and ease of collection.

    Well, I have had some buds for this thread in the freezer for well over a year now....

    Frankly, I was going to make this hash to take to Amsterdam for the cup last year, but I was not able to go. I was so bummed that I couldn't bring myself to actually make the batch of hash...

    Until now!

    I set up and spent the afternoon at it, and I even remembered to document it for you all! On with the show.....

    Look what I found, 3 bags of RYK bud, fresh frozen, and hidden in the freezer.


    Bags hanging clean and ready for action


    Frozen buds, in the bag, ready to go




    Add some ice, and a short 3 minute spin



    Drain the hash-laden water


    Scoop the hash, place it on my wicking screen


    Wet first run patties, and the same chopped up



    Here is what the second run first bag (190µ&160µ mixed) looked like when I scooped it onto the wicking screen


    Second run, second bag (120µ through 25µ), 2 foamy piles

    Second run got a 6 minute spin. The hash is put away to dry for some days now, I will take a few more shots then.

    Wow looks really nice! any difference in taste or overall quality from material that's been frozen for a year?

    Also are you heading to the Cup this year? I am very honored to be attending this years Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam hopefully not one of the last.

    It's still drying, so as yet untasted. I know the usual hash from this strain, so I will let you know how it compares later. I hope to be attending the festivities in Amsterdam this year, but until my tickets are in-hand, I'm counting no chickens.

    Here we are 9 days later, the hash is as dry as its going to get. As promised, a few more pictures.

    Here is the batch dry

    You may have noticed that the cardboard is stained. Being made from fresh frozen material (even over a year frozen), the hash is so oily that it stained the cardboard




    Whats in the bags I'm considering the best, into the cooking pile with the rest


    First run 190µ - cooking hash, >.1g
    First run 160µ - cooking hash, >.1g
    First run 120µ - not a bad smoke, pretty melty even, .6g
    First run 90µ - very melty, very smooth, next to no residue, 2.7g
    First run 73µ - very melty, smooth with a bite, very little residue, 2.6g
    First run 45µ - melty, smoke is dry and peppery, a little ash, 2g
    First run 25µ - slightly melty, smoke tastes a bit dusty, high was ok, but still cooking hash, 0.3g

    Second run 190µ+160µ - cooking hash, 0.3g
    Second run 120µ thru 25µ - very melty, a smooth smoke with some punch, a well rounded and deep high 11.8g

    First run total weight = 8.4g
    Second run total weight = 12.1g

    Total Hash recovered = 20.5g

    Hope you have enjoyed this run in looking at it, I & some few friends will enjoy smoking it.

    **I just noticed whilst smoking some that my stoned ass wrote 2.8g on the 120µ thru 25µ, when in fact its 11.8g... the smoking session seems to have affected my v*asd$rgSD#@F zzzzzzzzzzz*******
