    Default looking to get started.....

    i have been inspired, any suggestions on a camera under 500 that i can get sick shots with??

    I've been taking my shots with an old Sony Cyber-shot... you can get pretty good pics if you just make sure you get a model with a Zeiss lens (makes a difference!) and very important: it needs to have a macro setting so you can get real close (on the Sony cameras, the macro symbol looks like a little flower).

    Of course, you can get much better cameras for more money..... don't let me hold you back :-)

    I have a G12.. Canon.. great little camera.. bought it when my pro model 5D mark II was damaged by salt water... now of course it doesnt really compare with that camera.. but i was very happy with it as it has full manual controls macro settings as well as a variety of additional lens you can attach to it.

    Word! thanks for the advice, and for this dope site!! my bubblebags have treated me well and now it's time to swoop a camera!!
