So, a bit of a curious subject for me:

Essentially, the best way to extract pure hash is to use bubble bags--eliminating capitate stalks, and leaving the Globule. Dry sifting kif allows practically anything through the fixed-micron screen.

    That's the basic idea, right?

Anything the size of the pore diameter or less can fall through in dry sieve. With water extraction the specific gravity of the heads allows them to sink when most other material floats. Peace GS

Wow i never knew stalk was a contaminate, which explains why my buddies ounce of kief he bought, mix (sour diesel, headband, strawberry cough, purple trainwreck) was all just heads and clumped up real well it didnt look like your ordinary kief it looked natural.

PS: it was made from bubblebags

Awesome info on the Capitulate stalks, B-man. I'd love to know if they have any psychoactivitiy, at all. For instance, would they be worth cooking with?

no, not really, especially if you are talking about comparing apples with apples here..iow using equal number of meshes for ice and dry methods.....dry sift can be as pure as ice hash, but of course it won't be if you are comparing a 8 mesh set of Bubble bags with a single or dual set of flat screens.

Whether it's dry sifting or ice hashing...it's really all about experience, technique and equipment...one thing is for sure the high is more complex and taste is better with dry sift, with Bubble hash the high is "cleaner" with more altitude and usually has less contaminants.

do a search through this forum and over at icmag dot com's hash forum for more info on advanced dry sifting techniques
