i think broken up frozen buds,
i actually freeze with trim an then use bread knife to cut up like sliced bread. then into bubblenow 220 bag.first run is 5 mins then longer next run.

Just trying some chopped buds myself, but I guess it depends on the the specific material that you use. (Some hash-friendly strains have long foxtail strands of calyxes making fluffy and huge buds where the resin is easily available. Other have rock hard nugs that are harder to penetrate and might benefit from some chopping/crusting.)
